The word aerobics most commonly conjures up images of a group
in an exercise studio all moving to the thump of a steady beat. And it
is a popular way to work out: the combination of group participation,
instructor motivation, and the music drill does help to motivate.
There are a variety of ways you can get your aerobic exercise
though. Aerobic merely means raising the heart rate. In aerobic exercise
the goal is to build your bodies ability to process oxygen more
efficiently. We want to find exercises that you will find most enjoyable
to do that.
I do teach a step aerobics class at a local fitness club once a
week. If you wish to attend my class there is no charge made by me since
I am paid by the club. All you need to do is be a club member or pay
their drop-in fee and you can join in. Contact me for specific details
about where and when.
For one-on-one aerobics instruction: we can go jogging together
to help push your speed and stamina. Inside there are things like stair
climbing machines, treadmills, bike machines, rowing machines, etc. each
of which will work out different muscles while building your aerobic
ability. Or maybe you're into swimming. While not a skilled swimmer I am
happy to provide motivation in that area as well.
There are countless other ways to get a good aerobic burn going
inside your body. We just want to find the right mix of activity that
you can enjoy. |
